2. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) must be:
Incorporated under the Companies Act 1965. Having an annual sales turnover not exceeding RM25 million AND not more than 150 full-time employees. At least 60% owned by Malaysians.
3. SCOPE OF ACTIVITIES
The scope of activities is now expanded to include manufacturing related services:
Engineering support services such as calibration, electroplating, machining, heat treatment, metal casting, metal forging, etc.
Specialised service centres such as sterilisation, waste treatment, etc.
Logistic services such as warehousing, bulk breaking, international procurement centre, haulage, etc.
Maintenance and repair of factory machinery and equipment
Software development such as CAD, CAM, CAE, ERP, CIM, SCM, CRM
Automation of production line
Design houses
Packaging services
Export of services such as construction, engineering consultancy, architecture, education, healthcare, printing and publishing, information and communication technology services. (For Market Development Grant only)
Trading companies (For Market Development Grant only)
4. MODE OF DISBURSEMENT
30 % of approved grants will be given up-front to eligible companies, with the remainder to be paid on a reimbursable basis
