Export Restrictions to Indonesia Lifted

Export Restrictions imposed by Indonesia have been lifted following meeting of the Coordinating Committee on the Implementation of the CEPT Scheme for AFTA in Manila, Philippines held on 31 March till 2 April 2009.
In December 2008, Indonesia restricted exports activities across border. The exports restrictions affected the electronics, textiles, toys, footwear, food products etc.
Following the Coordinating Committee Meeting in Manila, Indonesia aggress that the border trade among the BIMP-EAGA (Brunei-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area) and IMT-GT (Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle) have been exempted.
